Sara is responsible for the firm’s global regulatory compliance program.
Prior to joining Adams Street, she was a Partner in the Investment Management group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where her practice focused on regulatory counseling in connection with the operation of registered investment advisers and the formation and operation of private equity funds. She has extensive experience developing investment adviser compliance programs and providing advice regarding complex issues arising under federal securities laws, particularly the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
Sara began her career in Washington, D.C. and practiced in the areas of investment management and international commerce. Her international commerce background includes counseling clients undertaking commercial ventures in non-US jurisdictions regarding applicable US and foreign laws and regulations, as well as business and political considerations and corporate best practices.
She is a member of Adams Street’s Operating Committee, Charitable Giving Committee, and the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee.
