Sourced directly through Adams Street’s general partner network, our Secondary Investment Team acquired a single limited partner interest from a financial institution seller that was actively reshaping its investment portfolio. The acquired interest was part of our selective and thematic asset targeting program and consisted of high-quality, growth-oriented companies managed by a premier middle-market buyout manager. Adams Street’s fund advisory board participation and prior acquisition of this fund provided an information edge through deep due diligence access. Further, our competition in the transaction was limited to existing fund investors only. These favorable process dynamics paired with general partner participation created strong alignment and furthered our conviction.
