CHICAGO, February 6, 2019 – Adams Street Partners, a private markets investment management firm with $35 billion of assets under management, announced today that Mattias de Beau has joined the firm as a Partner on the Primary Investments Team. In this role, Mr. de Beau is focused on sourcing investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and managing private equity fund manager relationships throughout Europe. He is based in Adams Street’s London office and reports to Sergey Sheshuryak, Partner on the Primary Investments Team.

Mr. de Beau has more than 15 years of private equity and investment management experience. Before joining Adams Street, he co-headed EMEA investment activities covering primary, secondary and co-investment opportunities in London for StepStone Group, a global private markets specialist overseeing more than $250 billion of private capital allocations, including $46 billion in assets under management. Earlier, Mr. de Beau was a Principal at London’s Greenpark Capital, which was acquired by StepStone in 2013. He began his career as a private equity analyst at Lehman Brothers in London.

Mr. de Beau earned an MSc in Business Administration while majoring in Finance at the Stockholm University School of Business. Before that, he served as a Sergeant with the Amphibious Battalion of the Swedish Marines.
