Software that automates processes in specific vertical markets or in horizontal functional areas that have previously resisted automation are of greatest interest. Adams Street also seeks companies that have evolved their pricing models to something more akin to technology-enabled services pricing – low upfront fees and longer recurring revenue contracts. Particular areas of interest in this sector include database and data warehousing, collaboration, customer and partner relationship management, IC design automation and IT department management and communications software.
