Adams Street Partners’ Direct Team invests in companies seeking $5-20 million in early-to later-stage venture capital or growth equity to develop and commercialize their products or to provide partial liquidity for founders of more mature companies. Adams Street looks to serve as a lead investor in these situations, but does not require a controlling interest.

Adams Street Partners’ Direct Team also co-invests $5-30 million in leveraged buyout and growth equity transactions being led by other general partner groups.

Adams Street has funded over 220 companies since its inception in 1972 and currently operates out of several pools of capital, which in aggregate total to more than $1.1 billion in actively managed funds.
